Meet The CEO

Empowered Black Doula was founded in Orlando, Florida, by Keshia Lockett, whose passion for supporting women during childbirth began at an early age. She believes that transforming birth starts with the birthing person and places education and knowledge at the forefront of this evolution.

 

As the founder expanded the business, she created The Black Doula Tour, inspired by attending a health seminar with holistic professionals. In May 2023, Keshia decided to pivot her business to focus on training doulas and launched Empowered Doula Training as part of this mission.

 

Empowered Black Doula continues to grow with the vision of reaching pregnant people worldwide, providing education through birth and beyond, expanding global connections, achieving international success, and partnering to elevate birth. Empowered Doula Training offers high-quality training by one of the best trainers in central Florida.
